1. Who operates this website?
A-line is a hypothetical wearable technology brand developed as part of an academic marketing project. This website introduces the concept; it does not currently sell hardware or provide a live companion app.
2. What data is collected?
The website uses Cloudflare Pages to deliver content. Cloudflare may process network and security information necessary for website delivery. This version does not install Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising cookies.
Enquiry and newsletter forms are visible but do not transmit data until a form-handling provider has been configured. Once activated, these forms may collect the name, email, topic and message you choose to provide, together with the specific consent you give.
3. Newsletter consent
Newsletter communications will only be sent to people who actively subscribe. Subscribing is separate from making an enquiry. An unsubscribe or withdrawal mechanism will be provided when the newsletter service is activated.
4. Form processors
When configured, the website may use Formspree or an equivalent form processor to transmit submissions securely to the project team. The relevant service and contact details should be confirmed and this notice reviewed before enabling live collection.
5. Local browser preferences
The site may remember that you dismissed the newsletter invitation using your browser's local storage, to avoid showing it repeatedly. The sample Flow App timer runs locally in your browser and is not connected to a wearable.
6. Photos, video and embedded services
Images and videos are served as site assets. Webfonts may be requested from Google's font delivery service. If analytical or advertising technologies are added in future, this policy and any consent controls will be updated first.
7. Your choices and enquiries
Before live data collection begins, the project will identify a contact inbox for access, deletion or withdrawal requests. You can browse the site without submitting personal details. Avoid sharing sensitive medical information in enquiry forms.
8. Updates to this notice
This is a project-specific draft disclosure, not a substitute for legal review. It should be updated when real data collection, marketing software or sales activities begin.
